The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake (the “Town”) is seeking proposals to undertake a comprehensive review of policies, regulations, and land use planning frameworks applicable to on-farm diversified uses (“ofdu”) within the Town. The outcome is alignment with contemporary planning principles and policies that reflect current industry trends, public expectations, tourism trends, best practices, and sustainable land management principles.

The Town seeks a Bidder who can effectively manage and execute the review while adhering to best practices in policy review, municipal governance, and public engagement. Bidders should carefully review all requirements to ensure their submission aligns with the Town’s expectations and complies with applicable municipal and provincial regulations.

It is the responsibility of Bidders to gather all necessary information, assess their ability to fulfill the project requirements, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation. By submitting a Proposal, Bidders acknowledge their responsibility to conduct thorough due diligence and confirm their capability to meet the Town’s objectives.

The successful Bidder will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of their employees and subcontractors at their own expense throughout the project term.
