This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake (“the Town”) to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for the Development and Hosting of a New Municipal Website, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is seeking proposals for the development, design and hosting of a new Municipal Website. The website should be easy-to-use, mobile-friendly and fully accessible. The Municipal Website is the main communications tool used by the municipality to engage with residents and visitors. It serves as a comprehensive source of municipal information, as well as the first point of contact for many customer service inquiries. The successful Proponent will apply design thinking and a customer-centric lens to the new website structure, identify opportunities to improve online service outcomes, review and improve digital communications channels, and, in collaboration with Town staff, develop a website that creates an excellent user experience. The website will meet the objectives of service excellence, accessible government, ease of use and design aesthetics, as defined below. Through quality design and innovation, the new website will capture the character and essence of Niagara-on-the-Lake, a vibrant community rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. |
