The Town Niagara-on-the-Lake (the “Town”) invites qualified and experienced Bidders to submit Proposals for consultancy services to conduct a Review of Special Events in the Town. As part of this initiative, the Town is seeking support in conducting a Comprehensive Event Landscape Review to better understand the diversity, frequency, and impacts of events held on both public and private lands. The successful Bidder will also be responsible for developing a Special Events Principles Document to help the Town clearly define what constitutes a special event and guide future decision-making and policy development. 

In addition, the initiative will assess the current application and approval process using Lean Six Sigma methodology to identify inefficiencies and provide data-driven recommendations for streamlining operations and improving cost recovery through the development of a fee structure. 

This project presents an exciting opportunity to support the Town in modernizing its approach to special events, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring a seamless experience for both event organizers and municipal staff. The work will include comparative analysis with other municipalities, stakeholder engagement, and the preparation of a final report with actionable recommendations.
